For our August 2023 recipe we’ve got something a bit different for you, as always using the premium products from our high-end shop. In fact, instead of one recipe, this month we’re sharing three healthy homemade ice lolly recipes using our delicious Asiago frozen products. Not only will they all help you beat the heat, they are also tasty, refreshing and healthy. So let’s get on with the recipe so you can get on with staying cool and keeping the whole family happy this summer.

Everyone loves ice-cream and there’s nothing quite like indulging in a frosty treat to tame the relentless heat. But while ready-made ice creams and lollies are a firm favourite with adults and children alike, there’s something more special and satisfying about making your own. And of course, homemade ice lollies are also a much healthier option, with the preservatives and additives replaced by natural alternatives that provide a range of additional nutritional benefits.

The star of the show for each of these three recipes are the frozen fruits from Asiago. Found exclusively at Prinos Farm&Deli, these products provide a convenient and easy way to incorporate more fruit into your diet. We already know that there are many health benefits to eating frozen fruit and vegetables. We’ve got a wide range of options, including the three that we will be using here which are Frozen Mixed Forest Fruits, Frozen Mango and Frozen Avocado. All three are packed full of essential nutrients, Vitamins and minerals, which combined with the other ingredients, make for a seriously tasty treat to beat the summer heat.

Perfect for vegetarians, the recipes can be made vegan by substituting the dairy products with plant-based alternatives from our wide range of vegan options. And they’re all incredibly easy to make, while also being a fun activity to do together with the kids during the summer holidays. All you’ll need are the ingredients, a food processor or blender, a freezer and some ice lolly moulds. So without further ado, let’s get onto our three recipes themselves.
